DVD Slideshow FAQ
Why I can’t burn to DVD?
Please make sure that the burner is working properly and the device driver has been updated to the latest version.
Please check if you have installed other burning applications such as Roxio. We have found a compatibility issue between ArcSoft and Sonic/Roxio burning engines. Please try to uninstall the Roxio software and then reinstall DVD SlideShow.
If the problem persists, maybe the device is not compatible with the software. You cantry to first burn the DVD to your hard drive, and then use other burning applications such as Nero to burn a data DVD.
To burn the DVD created by DVD SlideShow with other burning applications, please directly burn the DVD folders (i.e. Arcsoft, VIDEO_TS, etc.) from your hard drive to the root directory of your DVD disc.
Why I receive a “Failure Writing to Disc” message when trying to burn a DVD?
Failure Writing to disc can be caused be one of the following reasons. The problem may be cause by a codec conflict, corrupt software, incompatible data or a hardware issue. You will need to narrow it down by trouble shooting the problem.
a) Double-check to insure that the hardware is functioning properly. You may even need to contact the hardware company for some trouble shooting steps on the hardware.
b) Double check the data within your project to insure that it is compatible with the ArcSoft program.
c) If you have Showbiz DVD 2 you can create a project using only the sample files provided to you by ArcSoft. Then try burning the DVD to a disc or the hard drive. If the software fails using the ArcSoft sample files, uninstall and reinstall the software to resolve a possible corrupted software issue.
